Several ways to make yourself miserable

1. Count your troubles, name them one by one-at breakfast table, if anyone will listen, or as soon as possible thereafter

2. Worry every day about something. Don't let yourself get out of practice. It won't add a cubit to your stature bit it might burn a few calories.

3. Pity yourself. If you do enough of this, nobody else will have to do it for you.

4. Devise clever but decent ways to serve God and mammon. After all, a man's gotta live.

5. Stay away from absolutes. It's what right for you that matters. Be your own person and don't allow yourself to get hung up on what others expect of you.

6. Make sure you get your rights. Never mind other people's. You have your life to live, they have theirs.

7. Don't fall into any compassion traps-the sort of situation where people can walk all over you. If you get too involved in other's troubles, you may neglect your own.

8. Don't let bible reading and prayer get in the way of what's really relevant-things like TV and newspapers. Invisible things are eternal. You want to stick with the visible ones-they are where its at now.

1. DONT Count your troubles, DONT name them one by one-at breakfast table, if anyone will listen, or as soon as possible thereafter. Trust God in them. Godliness with contentment is great gain :)

2. DONT Worry every day about something. Don't let yourself get out of practice. It won't add a cubit to your stature bit it might burn a few calories. Do not be worry and anxious about anything and everything but in supplication and prayer!

3. DONT Pity yourself. If you do enough of this, nobody else will have to do it for you.

4. NO POINT Devising a clever but decent ways to serve God and mammon. After all, a man's gotta live by having faith in our God who is our provider.

5. Stay away from absolutes if you have no comment. It's what right for you that matters. Be your own person and don't allow yourself to get hung up on what others expect of you.

6. DON'T fight for your rights. Thats pride. Mind other people's. Thats Grace. After all, you don't want God to think for His rights before He die for you on the cross right?

7.BE compassionate -Everyone needs it. You need it too.

Thank God for 2009!

Many many thanksgiving to God for the blessings (highs and lows) in 2009! People may come and go, things may happen but one thing remains: Nothing can seperate me from the love of God. God is always with me, He is never leave me nor forsake me. Thank God for His everlasting faithfulness. :)

Like usual, I went for my personal retreat on 1st January to 2nd Jan went to TTC, rented a room and spend time w God. Check http://www.ttc.edu.sg/ to rent rooms. They have air con and non aircon rooms. Their rooms and toilets are very clean and well maintain. Air is fresh because its near Bukit timah. Its a excellent place to really rest, pray, read and sleep :)

A hostel room to stay over. Familar scent, surroundings and just everything..that reminds me of my 9 months stay in TTC in 2008. How time flies.

My necessities for retreats and devotions. My bible (Silver), My new dairy (given by my cell mates), The power of a praying wife by Stormie (I am not a wife lar. But the prayer templates are really good for pray for Jon and sometimes myself.) and new devo book "Keep a Quiet heart." given by church mates :) good book!

I reflected about areas of my life like relationships, God, work, ministry etc and also prayed through 2010. There is no big bang experience but I spent quality time w God and heard Him through His word.
