For Late Comers. We all waits. "Therefore will the LORD waits, that He may be gracious unto you....blessed are all they wait for Him." ~Isaiah 30:18
Do you have a friend who is always late and you have waited for him/her for hours? Well, personally, I have waited for friends for hours and I do grow frustrated. But, i don't usually fret up because I am no punctual person myself.
Many times in Christiandom, we know of waiting..~we are waiting for the Lord's timing
~we are waiting for the Lord' to answer our prayers
However, do you know that the Lord also waits for us?
We should not only understand the importance of our waiting on God but also realise something even more wonderful~ The Lord waits for us. And the very thought of His waiting on us will give us renewed motivation and inspiration to "wait for Him." It will also provide inexpressible confidence that our waiting will never be in vain.
The Lord has an inconcievably glorious purpose for each of His children. "if this is true," you ask, "why is it that He continues to wait longer and longer to offer His grace and to provide the help i seek, even after I have come and waited on Him" He does so because He is a wise gardener who "waits for the land to yield its valuable crop" and is patient...for the autumn and spring rains." God knows that He cannot gather the fruit until it is ripe, and He knows precisely when we are spiritually ready to recieve the blessings for our gain and His glory.
What can the Lord be waiting for you?~The Lord is waiting for you to come back to Him. You have gone far away and He is waiting for You graciously before He needs to pull a big one on your life for you to realise how much you actually need him.
~The Lord is waiting for the best time to answer your prayers.
~The Lord is waiting for you to be ready to recieve His blessings
~The Lord is waiting for you to be gracious to you. And, when He does that, you know that.
~The Lord is waiting to change you.
~The Lord is waiting for you to seek Him.
Rest assured that the Lord waits longer than we desire, it is simply to make the blessings doubly precious. Remember, He waited 4 thousand years, "but when the time had fully come, God sent His Son." (Gal 4:4)
