I am inspired....=)

I happened to know the wife of this man. They are in my church. This man, Mr Huang is the founder of Heartware network. With a only 8 staff but a huge pool of volunteers and has done many good works. WOW. It's a success for VWOs. (Voluntary Welfare Organisation). However, though inspired by Mr Huang, i esteemed his wife more because and truly, behind every successful man's back, there is the support of a successful, supportive and big-hearted woman..and she is also one woman with leadership, depth and capabilities. But, putting all her talents into serving and supporting her husband and children..that is sacrfice of a Godly woman. I am so glad that her husband treasures and loves her.

WOW. i am inspired and would learn from her if I can.

It happened a long time ago in China where a pair of newly-weds were honeymooning. The young man was a representative for a company that he worked for and the wife faithfully remained at his side, learning the fine art of culinary skills, beginning from labouring 4 hours to prepare a dinner (while the man slept waiting) to eventually whipping up dinner parties for a dozen people.

This man loved his home country and would spend his leisure time promoting her good name and his company’s image. It was disheartening on numerous occasions when he realised that many of the 130 foreign representatives from the same industry stationed in China was ambivalent about his country and the insignificance of this “little red dot of an island passionately the young man called “home" ". More stunning were the remarks made by a fellow countryman he met while celebrating their nation’s 33rd National Day. The man, who had worked overseas for 17 years in multinational corporations, was obviously a good family man with one wife and 2 or 3 daughters. However, when asked what he would do if danger befell their homeland, the man remarked that his primary responsibility was to move his entire family to another country and nothing else mattered

That remark left this young man troubled. During his 2 and a half years in China, he was more troubled as he saw that there were even lakes bigger than his homeland, mountains higher than the highest peak at home and at one point, even experienced hundreds of thousands of young people protesting on the streets over the bombing of their embassy overseas. I

magine these people protesting against his homeland, he thought he was also awakened by his Prime Minister’s remarks that people actually thought of his beloved country as a 5-star hotel, checking in and out at their convenience.

Nevertheless, the young man and his wife were encouraged by the selfless contributions of other countryman and women serving their overseas community, putting in their personal time and money and without asking for any certificates of appreciation. These were the people that had to be dragged out to take photos with the VIPs.

Yes, the young man thought there was hope.Seriously, dear friends, if you have not guessed by now, I was the young man in the story and that beautiful wife is still my beautiful wife and a good cook today, I must affirm.
